Quad biking in La Manga is a superb way to get off the beaten track and explore the glorious surrounding countryside, coastal paths and hiking trails of the area. As jet ski's and kayaks enable you to reach some of La Manga's most beautiful coastal areas that are either difficult or impossible to reach on foot due to steep cliffs and tide conditions, quad bikes allow riders to explore places that even a 4×4 vehicle can't reach due to their smaller size and lighter weight, and there are a number of areas within a short ride from La Manga waiting to be discovered.
One of the best areas for quad biking in La Manga is the nearby Calblanque National Park which lies about 10 kilometres south of Cabo de Palos and boasts a variety of terrain to suit all experience levels, from flat tracks to twisty riverbeds with steep climbs and jumps. From here you can either head for the RM-314 and go further south by road or stay off the beaten track and follow your nose along the coast until you reach the excellent tracks an terrain around the popular tourist attraction called the Portman Guns. Whichever direction you choose to head, remember that some of these areas are protected parks, sometimes with rare flora & fauna so stick to the tracks and trails and leave the surrounding vegetation as beautiful as you found it.
