La Manga Go-Kart
Located beside the RM-12 as you approach Cape Palos, La Manga Go-Kart offers thrills, and hopefully not spills for the whole family. Activities play a large part of most peoples holiday, and for some, the more exciting the better which is certainly what you get when go-karting. From the first ‘soap box' kart that kids loved riding down hills and became popular worldwide, with many countries, especially the USA holding Soap Box Derby's, engines were introduced to karts, usually from chainsaws or lawn mowers, making the sport a lot more exciting, to the extent that race karts these days use extremely powerful motors and reach frightening speeds.
La Manga Go-Kart
Fortunately at La Manga Go-Kart drivers have a choice of karts so, if hair raising acceleration and breakneck speed are not your thing, you can choose a kart with a less powerful engine. There are 3 classes of karts that all use Honda engines; kids karts with a less powerful engine, padded seats, body protection and head restraints, plus the chance to take the younger kids on one of the two seater, dual control karts allowing the kids to drive but giving the adult the chance to take over the controls at any time.
Junior karts are for ages 11-15 years and have 200 cc engines, bucket seats and head restraints, and adult karts with a choice of 240 cc, 270 cc and super fast 390 cc engines with bucket seats and head restraints. La Manga Go-Kart are members of AEPKA (Association of Spanish Tracks) and both their karts and race tracks comply with all the safety measures required by AEPKA.
La Manga Go-Kart Tracks
Not only do La Manga Go-Kart's have 3 classes of karts, they also have 3 different tracks for each class which ensures maximum safety. The main track which is also used for competitions and has hosted the Spain Karting Championships has a length of 950 metres and a width of 8 metres with a metre of shoulder on each side. The junior and kids tracks have wider, less sharp bends and are equipped with car tyre barriers on both sides for added safety. The excellent facilities offer the chance for groups to enjoy exciting events such as a Grand Prix with race personnel, qualifying times and timed track departures, just like the real thing.
La Manga Go-Kart Leisure Facilities
All that racing energy needs fuel, and visitors can enjoy a selection of snacks and drinks from the on-site cafeteria which has comfortable indoor seating, an outdoor terrace and rooftop viewing terrace with views over the circuits and out to sea. Next to the cafeteria is the exciting Kids Zone where the young ones can enjoy a ball park, bouncy castles, trampolines, air hockey, table soccer, pool tables, a mechanical bull, arcade games and organised games.
Please note: La Manga Go-Kart and its facilities are open to the public only during summer high season and for the rest of the season is available for reserved events and celebrations.
